Foundation 2 offers LISW Therapy Services at our Crisis Center location. Both therapists are able to accept most insurance and also see clients on a sliding fee scale.
Meet Our Therapists
Dennis Dozier
Dennis Dozier has been with Foundation 2 since 1997. He began as a volunteer at the Crisis Center and then became paid staff in 1999. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's in Social Work from Mount Mercy College in 2000 and earned a Master's in Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2005. He was awarded an Outstanding Alumni Award in 2007 by Mount Mercy. Dennis is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Iowa, and is also is a Certified Co-occurring Disorders Professional accredited by the Iowa Board of Certification. His clinical fields of interest include spirituality and how that meaning impacts client's lives, working with gay/lesbian/bisexual, depression/anxiety, and dual diagnosis issues. Dennis has extensive experience working with family issues. He co-facilitates the Depression/Anxiety group that meets every Monday evening at 6:30 and the Anger Management Therapy group for male teens from the ages of 12-18 on Thursday evenings. His office hours are weekdays 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM and would be available on weekends and other hours by request.

Sarah Knight
Sarah Knight began with Foundation 2 as a volunteer and has been part of the agency for over 15 years. She has an Iowa Licensed Independent Social Worker degree from the University of Iowa and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Michigan. Sarah works primarily with teenagers and adults troubled by anxiety, depression, relationship problems, traumatic experiences, chronic mental health issues or emotional intensity disorder. Sarah has special training in the STEPPS program for emotional intensity disorder and in domestic violence issues. She typically sees clients Monday-Thursday.
