Sunday, March 7th was the Pancake Breakfast fundraiser for Foundation 2.  After craving pancakes all the time as I was marketing the breakfast, I was happy to finally enjoy some pancakes at the fundraiser.  This event was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus #5544.  Thank you so much to the Knights of Columbus for putting on a great event for us.  Thank you also to Robby Marvin and the Robject for volunteering to serve food and clean up tables during the event.  Foundation 2 is excited to partner with the Robject for the month of March.  Not sure what I am talking about but want to learn more?  Visit the Robject homepage here.

Foundation 2 was able to raise over $1,000 in donations from the pancake breakfast.  Not only did we raise money, but this was a great opportunity to let the community know about the services that Foundation 2 offers. Groups of Foundation 2 Board Members staffed an information table during the breakfast to answer any questions visitors may have about our programs.

If you missed the pancake breakfast but would like a chance to visit Foundation 2 out in the community, you have another chance on Saturday, March 13th.  Foundation 2 staff will be handing out goodies and materials at the Movin’ for McAuley Family Expo at Westdale Mall in Cedar Rapids from 9 AM to Noon.  If you are in the area, please stop by and say hi!

There is a second fundraiser for Foundation 2 later this month.  On Monday, March 22nd, both Cedar Rapids Genghis Grill locations are sponsoring a fundraiser for Foundation 2.  From open at 11 AM to close at 10 PM, 10% of your bill will be donated to Foundation 2.  Please make sure to tell your server that you are there to support Foundation 2 in order for us to receive 10%.

March is a great month to get involved with Foundation 2- I hope to see you at our upcoming events!
