“One kind word can change someone’s entire day.”
I love speaking with people in the community who have had experience with Foundation 2 services.
I recently represented Foundation 2 at Beyond Rubies, a yearly conference for women of all generations and backgrounds. I attend as a vendor to share information about how Foundation 2 can people facing all sorts of crisis. This year I spoke with many amazing women who are interested in sharing information about services with others in their life, with some who would like to donate or others who would like to volunteer their time. I also spoke with a woman whose daughter had stayed in our shelter years ago. I have spoken with this woman before- she stops by my booth every year and thanks me for the help that our staff provided to her family.
I don’t think that she knows how much her kind words mean. In an agency that works with people who are facing what is often the most difficult moments of their life, we don’t always learn about what happened once the crisis passed.
Foundation 2 recently received a lovely letter in the mail from an individual who recently had used one of our services during a dark moment. We were able to connect this individual with ongoing community supports and life is much brighter now. This person mailed us a beautiful card to thank Foundation 2 for being there to save a life. This meant so much to the staff who worked with this client and to others in the agency that helps to make our services possible.
To those who have shared feedback about your experiences with Foundation 2, we appreciate you. It is encouraging to staff and helps us to strengthen the services that Foundation 2 provides.
