After Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday you may be tired of shopping. But “Giving Tuesday” is a day when people around the world get together online and in person to kick off the holiday season with a day dedicated to giving back. The number of organizations and companies that have signed on as partners has more than doubled from the first year, and now stands at 6,225 and growing, in all 50 U.S. states and 15 countries.
There are many ways to help Foundation 2 on giving Tuesday. Some ways to get involved include:
*Consider donating a portion of the amount that you saved on Black Friday or Cyber Monday to Foundation 2. This will allow us to respond to make a difference in the life of someone in crisis. And if you work at a company that doubles the donations made by employees- submit a matching gift request to double your impact!
*While you are shopping for holiday gifts, consider purchasing an extra gift for a youth at our youth shelter or extra food or hygiene items to donate to our After Hours Food Pantry.
*Host a food drive at your business or at your church or social club. Donate the proceeds to our food pantry.
*Give the gift of your time- volunteer! Click here to learn about current Foundation 2 volunteer needs.
“If you want to feel rich, just count the things that you have that money can’t buy.”
