DSM-5: The Future of Psychiatric Diagnosis

March 30, 2011
Foundation 2 is thrilled to announce that therapist Dennis Dozier  has been selected to perform clinical trials with clients for the upcoming Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) to be released in May 2013.  Dennis is one of 500 Licensed Clinical Social Workers  in the United States involved in the trials.  He is currently testing the validity of dimensions of disorders; something that is not utilized in the current DSM-4-TR. Dennis will also be listed as a contributor in the DSM-5.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is an essential diagnostic tool used to classify mental illness.
