2011 Eastern Iowa Variety Telethon
On Monday, March 7th, Foundation 2 board and staff participated in the 2011 Eastern Iowa Variety Telethon from noon to 12:30 PM. Along with the donations raised for Variety through phone calls placed and received during the telethon, Elisabeth Kissling, Director of Development and Marketing, presented Variety with an additional donation of $325. This donation was raised through a Foundation 2 employee silent auction.
Foundation 2 appreciates Variety and the support they have provided to our agency. Last year Variety funds replaced the hot water heater at our Youth Shelter. This allowed residents to once again have hot water for showers and laundry and helped our agency to become more energy efficient! In 2009, Variety awarded the Foundation 2 Youth Shelter with a mini van. Thank you to Variety, the Children's Charity, for all you do to improve the lives of underprivileged, at-risk and special needs children throughout Iowa.
