Food Pantry Volunteers Needed
The Foundation 2 Crisis Center Food Pantry complements other food agencies by providing food in the evenings and weekend hours. We understand that unfortunate circumstances occur and money is often tight, or that the hours of other food agencies do not work for everyone.
We have been providing emergency food assistance for several years but are expanding to serve even more. We are looking for volunteers to help run the pantry during weekend hours- we have a special need for volunteers from 6 to 7:45 PM on Fridays and from 1-4 PM on Saturdays.
As a volunteer you will be responsible for completing a screening process on all clients to ensure they meet the eligibility requirements. You will also be responsible for stocking the pantry, and distributing food to clients.
Volunteers will complete initial training at the Crisis Center before they are expected to work alone. Crisis Center staff are always available to help.
