Skill Building Program

Foundation 2 is known as an agency that focuses on crisis prevention and intervention. We strive to reach youth as close to the prevention stage as possible, which is why we offer an after-school skill building program.  Foundation 2 Skills Services accepts boys and girls ages 11-17.  We provide individual and family skills sessions for male youth.  We offer a gender specific girls group, family and individual skill sessions for girls.

Our primary goal is to help each youth build assertiveness, confidence, as well as the skills, values and qualities necessary to become successful youth.  We provide an environment that teaches personal accountability with a strong focus on pro-social reasoning, anger management, positive decision making and communication.  These skills will assist in dealing with how to handle the day to day stressors related to family conflict, peer pressure, school issues, delinquent behaviors and related social issues.
