Part-Time 211 Information Specialist

Description: Employment opportunity available at Foundation 2 Crisis Center.  This is a part time evening and weekend position answering information and referral calls.  This position’s primary function is to answer calls for the United Way 211 service.  The 211 information specialist will determine the callers’ needs and the best available resource(s) to meet those needs.  This will include providing callers with appropriate information and referral services using a variety of databases and the internet.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have above average communication skills, experience and comfort using computer databases and be able to keep accurate records.  High school diploma or GED is required.  Some college and experience in Human Services preferred.  The application must pass all background checks completed by Foundation 2.

Part-Time Maintenance Associate

Description:Employment opportunity available at Foundation 2, Inc., a human service agency.  Duties include maintenance and repair of facilities and vehicles.  Hours may vary, generally 10 – 15 hours per week.

Qualifications: Education and Experience: High school/GED diploma and 4 years full time related proven experience.  Working knowledge of trades related to building and vehicle maintenance and repairs, occupational hazards and safety precautions.  The candidate must have strong communication skills to act as liaison between outside services, agency coordinators and finance.  Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass all criminal and child abuse background checks.  Some computer experience required.

Full Time Crisis Counselor for Crisis Center

Description: Full time employment opportunity available at Foundation 2 Crisis Center.  Duties include providing counseling to clients of all ages who call our crisis intervention and suicide line, as well as answering the 211 Information and Referral line, and making follow-up calls to past clients of a treatment program. Evening and weekend hours required.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human service or related field and five years’ relevant experience.
  • Or Master’s degree in a mental health field including, but not limited to psychology, counseling and guidance, psychiatric nursing, psychiatric rehabilitation, or social work;
  • Or psychiatric nurse who has three years of clinical experience in mental health;
  • Comfort using basic computer software.

Overnight Crisis Counselor at Crisis Center

Description: Part-time overnight employment opportunity available at Foundation 2 Crisis Center.  Duties include providing counseling to clients of all ages who call our crisis/suicide lines, as well as answering the 211 Information and Referral line.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in human service discipline with 5 years’ experience providing mental health services or human services; or a Master’s Degree in a mental health field; or a psychiatric nurse who has three years’ experience providing mental health is required. Crisis intervention experience with adults is preferred.  Computer experience required.  The applicant must pass all background checks completed by Foundation 2.

Working with youth is something that appeals to many people but not everyone is able to do the work at Foundation 2 Youth Shelter.

Back-Up Youth Shelter Youth Specialist

Description: Employment opportunity available at Foundation 2 Youth Shelter, a 17 bed facility that provides a safe environment for young people ages 11 – 17 in crisis.  General job responsibilities include providing supervision and support services for youth residents and operating as an effective team member.  Shift specific tasks include ensuring shelter operations are meeting client needs, as well as documentation, communication, transportation, meal preparation, and building maintenance must be completed each shift.
Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a human service field and 1 year full-time experience working with youth/families in at-risk situations or AA degree in human service field and 2 years equivalent full-time experience working with youth in at-risk situations.  Must possess a valid driver's license, be insurable by Foundation 2.  Inc.'s insurance company and pass all background checks.  Computer experience required.

401(k) Retirement Plan

A 401(k) tax-sheltered retirement plan and a Roth 401(k) is available for regular full-time and part-time employees under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  There are several different investment options available. Employees decide how much to invest and where they want it invested. After one-year of service, eligible full and part time employees receive an automatic contribution by Foundation 2 that is in addition to their salary. It is not a match. No other contributions are necessary to receive this contribution.
