Part-Time Overnight Youth Support Specialist at Shelter

Description:Employment opportunity available at Foundation 2 Youth Shelter, a 17 bed facility that provides a safe environment for young people ages 11 – 17 in crisis. 

General job responsibilities include providing supervision and support services for youth residents and operating as an effective team member.  Shift specific tasks include ensuring shelter operations are meeting client needs, such as laundry and cleaning, perform client related duties such as monitoring morning routines and providing regular room checks and clerical tasks.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a combined total of two years experience working in the human service field and/or college education or the equivalent combination thereof.  A high school diploma or GED is required.  Some working knowledge of computers preferred.  Applicant must pass all background checks completed by Foundation 2.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: BA degree and 1 year related experience, AA degree or equivalent in human service field and 2 years equivalent full-time experience working with youth in at-risk situations or a high school/GED diploma and 4 years equivalent full-time experience working with youth in at-risk situations.  Must pass background checks, possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable by Foundation 2 Inc.'s insurance company.  .

Full-Time Youth Specialist at Shelter, Male

Description:  Employment opportunity available at Foundation 2 Youth Shelter, a 17 bed facility that provides a safe, compassionate and structured environment for young people ages 11 – 17 in crisis.  Duties include interactive supervision of youth clients; appropriate role modeling and rapport building with youth clients; ensuring shift tasks and documentation are completed; working with other team members in a professional manner.  Work hours are 1:30 - 11:30PM.

Qualifications: 

Education and Experience: BA/BS degree in related field and 1 year full time related experience, AA degree or equivalent in human service field and 2 years full-time related experience or a high school/GED diploma and 4 years full-time related experience.  Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass all criminal and child abuse background checks.  Some computer experience required.

Part-Time Crisis Counselor at Crisis Center

Description: Duties include providing counseling to clients of all ages who call our crisis/suicide lines, as well as answering the 211 Information and Referral line.  Crisis Counselors will have some part-time regularly scheduled shifts in the evening and/or on weekends, as well as the opportunity to fill in extra shifts when they are available.  This is a great chance to gain experience with a wide range of concerns people face, including suicide, family conflict, economic crises and relationship struggles. 
Qualifications :BA/BS degree in human services field and 5 years relevant experience is required.  Crisis intervention experience with adults is preferred.  Computer experience required.  The applicant must pass all background checks completed by Foundation 2.

Full-Time Mobile Crisis Outreach Clinical Coordinator

Description:
Responsible for the operation of the Foundation 2 Mobile Crisis Outreach (MCO) program. MCO provides mental health crisis services for children, adults and families.   MCO team is called following the initial contact with our phone crisis counselors to be dispatched to locations within Linn County for face to face crisis counseling in homes, schools and other settings throughout the community.  Recruit, hire, train, and supervise MCO staff members. Provide direct service to clients and coordinate client follow up. This is a 24/7 program that requires flexibility in scheduling.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in a mental health field required, license preferred. Two-years of experience in a social work, counseling, or mental health related discipline is required.  Supervisory experience also required. Candidates must pass criminal records and abuse registry checks. A valid driver’s license is required and must be insurable by Foundation 2’s auto insurance agency.

401(k) Retirement Plan

A 401(k) tax-sheltered retirement plan and a Roth 401(k) is available for regular full-time and part-time employees under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  There are several different investment options available. Employees decide how much to invest and where they want it invested. After one-year of service, eligible full and part time employees receive an automatic contribution by Foundation 2 that is in addition to their salary. It is not a match. No other contributions are necessary to receive this contribution.
